View from Emory Peak Summit The view from the summit of Emory Peak is a breathtaking 360 perspective of the horizon. Emory Peak is the third highest point in Texas.	Madrone Tree Found mainly on the Eastern slopes of the Chisos Plateau. This beautiful red and white barked tree grows only at the higher elevations of the plateau.
